All inclusive resorts…One is not like the other.

All inclusive resorts…..I love the fact of paying for everything ahead of time, not having to decide which entree to get based upon price, being able to have drinks and not worry about driving, and changing drinks if I don’t like it. This is typical at all inclusive resorts everywhere. But, as I’ve learned from personal experience (and being a travel advisor), there are major differences. We stayed at the Riu Santa Fe in Cabo and we really should have paid a few extra hundred dollars to stay at the Riu Palace. If I had been 25 it would have been fine. But the beds were like sleeping on cement, the service was enough to get you by, with subpar food. It didn’t help that Cabo had a week spell of very cold weather and we had to sit under heaters during the entertainment. (My friend wore her gloves and I would have if I had them with me). But it’s just a good example of why spending a little more can be worth it. OK, I’m a cheap-o so I get it and have learned the hard way. I used to say I didn’t care what the room was like, but that was before I stayed in a nice room. The lessons we learn:)
